VITA, January 16, 2018 — VITA, the trade association for standard computing architectures serving critical and intelligent embedded computing systems markets, announces the ratification by ANSI and VITA of ANSI/VITA 68.0-2017 “VPX Compliance Channel” and ANSI/VITA 68.1-2017 “VPX Compliance Channel - Fixed Signal Integrity Budget Standard”. These standards have completed the VITA and ANSI processes reaching full recognition under guidance of VITA.

VITA, December 13, 2017 — VITA, the trade association dedicated to fostering American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited, open system architectures in critical embedded system applications announces that ANSI/VITA 74.0-2017 – “Compliant System Small Form Factor Module Base Standard”, commonly known as VNX, has reached ANSI recognition. This standard has completed the VITA and ANSI processes reaching full recognition under guidance of the VITA Standards Organization (VSO). 

ANSI/VITA 48.8 Air-Flow-Through Cooling Standard for VPX has been posted. Available at the VITA online store.

OpenVPX^TM update adds enhancements for new usage models and tools for searching profile tables.

The VITA Standards Organization (VSO) plans to submit the following standard for ANSI accreditation:

ANSI/VITA 65.0 (Revision), OpenVPX System Standard

Abstract: To standardize a set of VPX System Architectures

VITA 65.1 (New Standard), OpenVPX System Standard – Profile Tables

Abstract: This documents contains tables that augment [VITA 65.0]

VITA 74 (New Standard), Compliant System Small Form Factor Module Base Standard

Abstract: The VITA 74 Compliant System Small Form Factor Module Base standard was created to meet the growing needs for improved Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) with a rugged, low cost, fast serial fabric interconnect based Plug-in Module, while leveraging many proven features of existing VITA standards.

As part of the VSO policy and procedures we invite members and non-members who are directly and materially affected by the standard in question to cast a ballot for this standard. If you wish to participate in the ballot, please contact Jing Kwok, VITA Technical Director (jing.kwok@vita.com) for details to register. Registration for the ballot will close Monday, May 6, 2017.
